Parap Pool

Parap Pool is Darwin’s dedicated swimming competition venue as well as for recreational and leisure use for all members of the community and swimmers of all abilities. The facility is FINA-compliant, putting Darwin on the national map for swimming competitions, training and events. Parap Pool offers a range of programs and activities for all ages, including learn-to-swim and swim club training.

The Y Northern Territory manages Parap Pool on behalf of the City of Darwin.

 

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday: 5.30am – 7.30pm
Weekends and Public Holidays*: 8am – 7.30pm
*closed Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day

Conditions of Entry

  • Children under 10 years must be actively supervised by a responsible person 16 years or over.
  • Treat everyone with respect. Discrimination, abusive or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • No smoking, vaping, alcohol, glass and ceramics.
  • Pets (except assistance animals) are not permitted and must not be left outside unattended.
  • No photography without prior approval from management.
  • Please shower before entering the water or splash pads.
  • Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim nappies.
  • A person with a skin infection, stomach illness, open cut or communicable disease must not enter the water or splash pads.
  • Clean, recognised swimwear must be worn in the water, no streetwear or underwear.
  • No running, rough play, bombing or spitting water.
  • Secure personal belongings; management is not responsible for loss or damage to property.
  • Pools and splash pads will be evacuated during electrical storms and/or poor weather.

Management reserves the right to refuse entry. Any direction given by pool staff must be complied with.

Conditions of Entry are subject to City of Darwin By-Law 104 City’s public swimming pools.
